Apologies for the lateness of this one, but I can guarantee that my supporters will have much to chew on.

I believe my reflections here are especially important for inter-traditional dialogue, touching on a nuance that I haven't seen discussed at all elsewhere, at least not to a meaningful extent.

Apologies again for the gap between this and the last Commonplaces. I can guarantee this will not happen anymore (barring extraordinary circumstances) thanks to ongoing adjustments to my routine.

Apologies to supporters for the delay since the last Commonplaces. I actually have a few backed up, so I'll be scheduling them for regular release (weekly).

I give some detailed yet work-in-progress thoughts on how to arrive at impartial standards for reviewing a debate, in light of the visceral reactions to the Corey Mahler vs James White debate, which billed themselves as "debate reviews" but were functionally just parading their favourite side and continuing the argument outside of the debate context. I hope this leads to better, heck, actual debate reviews from theology and history content makers in future.

This is my first entry of the 'Commonplaces' series; personal short writeups on current issues I am thinking through and studying. This first one is particularly short as I made it in barely an hour in order to give an immediate incentive to potential supporters on the new website-based subscription system.
